Tree service in Chino Valley, AZ
Chino Valley is horse property and acreage country. Lots of an acre and up line the grid of numbered roads off Highway 89, Road 1 North and Perkinsville Road, and the trees reflect it: long windbreak rows of Siberian elm and Arizona cypress, old cottonwoods beside stock tanks and wells, and juniper creeping in from the edges of the Big Chino.
Del Rio Springs, just north of town, briefly hosted Arizona's first territorial government in 1864, and some of the ranch properties around it carry trees older than most of the subdivisions in the county.

Windbreaks, wells and big lots
Windbreak rows are the bread and butter here. Siberian elms planted in tight rows decades ago now stand 40 to 60 feet tall, with broken limbs, dead tops and roots working into septic fields and fences. Clearing a failing windbreak and replanting in stages keeps the wind protection while the worst trees come out.
Cottonwoods beside wells and stock tanks grow huge on that steady water and can drop big limbs onto barns, fences and corrals. Pruning to reduce heavy limbs over buildings and livestock areas is worth doing before the monsoon.
Clearing juniper and brush on acreage
Juniper encroachment is the other common job. Larger parcels toward Paulden and the foothills often need thinning for fire safety, grazing or building. Mulching juniper in place on open ground, with hand crews around buildings and the trees you want to keep, is usually the most practical approach.
Mention the parcel size, how much you want opened up, and any livestock that will need to be moved when you call. Crews can work around horses, but they need to know about them in advance.
